Welcome to my blog! This is the place where I share my ideas, inspirations, and concepts for various illustrations and projects I work on. I also showcase my art process, from sketches to the completed rendered illustrations. You will see the timeline of my process as well as my ideas and concepts for certain projects. Blogging is an easier way for me to share my thought process, ideas, and concepts as I can write more in-depth descriptions/processes, share multiple progress pictures, and curate a space that makes me excited to share my art with the world.

One of the main reasons for creating my website was to replace posting on social media as over the years it became unusable for the average artist and it placed pressure on artists to constantly push out “content”, interact with their community every hour of the day, and to become a jack of all trades (social media manager, videographer, editor, algorithm expert, etc) or else the algorithm will deem you unworthy of reach. This is a recipe for burnout, something I’ve experienced more and more throughout the years, especially since 2022, when generative AI made artists compete with computers. I haven’t suffered burnout from creating art, but with posting and being trendy.

Posting these blogs is a way to scratch the itch of sharing and posting my progress with everyone, but in a more curated and slow-paced way to avoid the trendiness and soul-sucking nature of social media. No more distractions, no more trends, no more competition with faceless accounts, and most importantly, no more burnout. I hope this site can inspire other artists to take control of how they share their work on the internet, and for viewers to reconsider their time on social media.
